Abstract submission has now closed.

Those wishing to present papers or posters must submit their abstracts to the SSBP via the conference website.
All abstracts accepted for oral presentations will appear in the Journal of Intellectual Disability Research. Abstracts must therefore comply with the JIDR Editoral Policy. Owing to the tight publication deadline of JIDR, late abstracts will not be accepted.

Pat Howlin Lecture

The Patricia Howlin Prize Lecture award of free registration and a prize of £200 (or equivalent) is made to a junior researcher of the Society and will be decided by the Scientific Committee. The prize and certificate will be awarded during the AGM of the society. Please indicate if you wish to be considered for this award and confirm your eligibility when submitting your abstract.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be current members of the SSBP.
• Applicants must be either students or junior-level researchers in an early-career position (in an official training scheme; Residents or fellows; current students; junior doctors; non-clinical students)
• Regardless of current position held, applicants will be eligible for only 3 years after completion of their PhD qualification.
• Applicants must submit an abstract for an oral presentation by 29th April 2018
• The proposed presentation must focus on intervention-based research. For further guidance, please see the The Patricia Howlin Prize Lecture page

The SSBP Poster Prize

A prize of £50 (or equivalent) and a certificate will be awarded for the best poster by a junior member of the SSBP. The prize will be awarded during the AGM of the society. Please indicate if you wish to be considered for this award when submitting your abstract.
